Content and Media

JW Time is designed for local, personal, free and non-commercial use, respecting official guidance about the use of content. The app does not include official content in the installer and does not redistribute it through its own servers.

How are media files retrieved?

When you use the Media window, JW Time can request files through publicly available official channels and save them in the local cache. You can also add local files that are already on the computer.

Privacy and Connections

Does JW Time collect personal data or telemetry?

Does the connection test send data to the developer?

No. The connection test shows the result inside the app. You can copy it to the clipboard and share it manually only if you want assistance.

What Internet connections can JW Time make?

No. Downloaded files are used as local cache or offline packages. Some temporary or old files are cleaned automatically where supported; you can also clear cache, packages and offline media from the app settings. Local files added manually remain where the user chose to keep them.

Can I use JW Time offline?

Yes, for content that has already been downloaded, imported or added manually. The first download and content updates require an Internet connection.
